Common Courtesy

Recently I have been wondering what people learn from parents. I was walking down the street recently and was almost run off the sidewalk by a person who never apologized or said excuse me. She gave me a dirty look because I wouldn’t move for her. Now I was taught to be courteous to others by my folks and grandparents when I was little.  To this day I say thank you or excuse to people when I’m out and about.  I feel that common courtesy is just being a good person. What has changed in this world?
